Aku terjumpa bunga kedua semalam, beliau juga memiliki genetic same seperti bunga dan dlm pandangan pertama telah berjaya mengidentifikasi aku sebagai rakyat Malaysia... wuhuuu~

Jadi aku memanggilnye muzik... yeah... kerana namanya ada kena mengena ngan alat muzik...

Salam everyone...

I'm not able to update my blog recently due to various of reason... especially since the internet connection is my home has been disconnected... cis cis~

and now I'm busy finishing my first individual assignment .... arghhHHhH!!!

It's entitled "THE HEROES OF MEDICAL SCIENCE"

as usual... I procrastinated until the last 4 days to choose a hero from the list...

So randomly I have chosen Thomas Peel Dunhill, a thyroid surgeon...

So I started my first research on UNSW... downloaded couple of medical articles... started reading it... and.... and.... blacked-out in the process~

What's with all this unknown languages and complicated sentences??????????

But I calmed down... finally for once in my life I used a dictionary when I read something....

I've done reading on his journey from the early of his career till his death...

and now........... He's my HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's really really REALLY REALLY REALLY THE VERY GREAT!!!

He's like in Tupac's song.. "Me against the World!!"

He's really something man... What he has done is almost everything I've dream of doing one day once I become a doctor.. he completely revolutionized the field of Thyroid Surgery!! The amazing thing is that during that time, there were a lot of other thyroid surgeons who completely disagree and accused him of being liar and all... but he stood firm and keep going to conferences and wrote articles in UK and US and finally his method was accepted around the world!!

He's like a hero in a game or movie who defeated his adversaries and saved the world !!!

ArghhH!!! He's really great... I salute him!! A hero indeed!!


On the hand..

The process of doing this report is really tiring... and... boring... and... confusing... and... hard...

Luckily...


It's not assessed!!!!

Great day at Newie, Bad day at Uni

Assalammualaikum wbt...

First of all... let me start off with some great news!!

I think it's on wednesday that Ridhwan (a 1st year petronas scholar) sms-ed me asking wether me and Fazrul would be interested in going to Newcastle on the weekend... He said a senior invited them to go there...

Of course!!! I told Fazrul not to tell our newie mates as to surprise them!! So we didn't tell u guys... haha...

So.. on that fated day..
SATURDAY - March 7 -

We went to Central to take a train, its our first time at Central but luckily all went well...

We thought the train was all the way straight to Newcastle (Broadmeadow to be more accurate) but when we reach Gosford, suddenly there's this announcement that none of use understand a word... haha... its worse then KTM announcement...

So we just sit there on the train...

Sit there..

Suddenly.. "Where are you people going?" a loud voice came from nowhere..
"Newcastle..." we answered
"Well, you gotta get down, the train's terminating here" she said..

We were like... ow man... did we get on the wrong train or what... we went down and the lady told us to get a bus... we were all very blur... to make it short we get on a bus that goes straight to Morisset ( but we want to go to Broadmeadow!! )....

Finally, we reach Morisset and there we realized that there was actually Trackwork going on so we need to use buses to get to the next station... huh... we thought we were lost.. haha

About at 8.30 after a long 3 and a half hour ride ( due to the bus transit ) we reached Broadmeadow...

The first feeling I get when I arrive there... hey, am I back at Kuala Lipis (my kampung)... it's very calm and quite... hey, balik kampung man!!

Brother Huda (or Uda?) came and pick us up and we go straight to this "Hall" where the newie people are having the feast (kenduri Kawen)... Everyone there was like wearing Baju Melayu and Baju Kurung... and the three of were just wearing... "modern" clothes... haha... layan!! kate org bandar balik kampung...

So with full of slumber (dgn slumbernye) we went inside the hall... and I get this feeling like all the people there were looking at me at the same time... (probably bcoz suddenly someone wearing a sweater and not baju melayu came) and Faiz was like... Sial ko, macamane ko bole ade kat sini... haha... surpirse!! U're sydney guys are here at Newie!! Then the girls came and like.. Riman, ape ko buat kat sini!! and Riman, datang tak bagitau pon!!

so we took this picture together after we hang out and talk and talk about stuffs... in the pic we really look like one happy family getting together during Hari Raya and two of their family member just returned home from the city ( me and Fazrul cos we're not wearing baju melayu ).. nice nice!!

SUNDAY - 8th March -

First- we went SANDSURFING.. wuhuu!!!

There's this area in Newcastle which is a large sand dune!! I've always wanted to visit a sand dune coz I know it's beautiful there!! And my dream came true... nice!!! It's much beautiful then I've expected...

So we get onto this tall sand dune... and we use a surfboard to surf down those dunes... it can get very fast and hard to control and its GREAT!! but.. the bad part is when climbing back up... coz it's sand.. and its very the high... haha... we took a lot of funny a great pictures there... the scenery there is marvelous!!!!!!

Then, some brother decided to write this big words on the sand ( Selamat Pengantin Baru ) which you can see on the picture below~ :)

After a very much exhausting sandsurfing we went to

Brokeback Mountains...

opps...

I mean..

Boat Harbour... :)

yeah.... we did some Brokeback Mountains scene there... haha

it's basically a beach with this very unique and wonderful rock formation and when there's rock at beach... u get huge waves!! I hate to admit it but this is the one place that I'll say is better than Teluk Cempedak.. haha... the rock formation here defeats the rock at TC..

We get onto the rocks and ate our lunch there and taking a lot of pictures there..

We tried very hard to get a pictures with huge waves as our background and we ended up getting wet being eaten up by the waves... haha.. what a nice brockback mountain moments....

Then, the trip ended... we went back by train at 5.02 pm...

It was the best trip eva' since I came to Australia... (its the only trip so far) the conclusion I get is that Newcastle is really kampung bcoz everything there reminds me of Kuantan + Kuala Lipis... haha..

and loves the ukhuwah of brotherhood there~ very nice, sincere and strong.. keep it up brothers!!


AND NOW THE TRIP TO NEWIE HAS ENDED.. I'M BACK AT UNI...

so sbb sekarang ni nak mengumpat sket pasal uni ne dan org2 di dalamnye .... biarlah hamba berblog dalam bahasa melayu supaya orang2 unsw tak paham apa aku tulis kot2 diorang masuk dlm blog ne.. haha inilah kelebihan bahasa melayu di Australia, kita bole mengumpat sesuke hati sebab mereka dok pahe!!!

ok hari ne ada perbincangan dalam kumpulan yang pertama kumpulan aku... aku mmg sgt menanti-nantikan perbincangan ini bukan saja kerana ade sorang awek cun dlm kumpulan ne... err tetapi juga kerana... kerana... sebab2 lain...


jadi kami pon berkumpullah... dan rancangan asalnye ialah setiap ahli kumpulan kena bentangkan tajuk apa kumpulan kami akan buat... aku mmg da prepare lengkap ngan outline semua sekali pasal aids dlm otak aku untuk dibentangkan... pastu ada sorang ahli kumpulan ne die ckp (sebelum aku dpt bentangkan ikot rancangan asal) yang aids tak mau buat sebab mende ne cam biasa sangat org buat... ( cakap macam hebat ar... kononnye aids ne tak menarik la... ok aku cool jek... tak da masalah )


Pastu die cadangkan buat pasal tuberculosis.. or TB... wow... boleh tahan.. aku pon setuju je la ngan idea tu... dan ahli kumpulan aku yg lain terus setuju.. di sini nampak satu perkara aku tak puas hati... aku nampak ahli kumpulan aku yang lain tu memang tak bersedia pon ngan tajuk masing2 untuk dibentangkan sbb mereka setuju terus ngan tajuk sorang ne... ok takpe lagi TB pon TB lah...

Kemudian bile nak bincang ape nak cakap pasal TB... semua orang macam blur giler je... yg cadangkan nak buat TB ne pon mcm tak tau pape sangat pon... tak de pon sediakan outline pape... ckp mcm hebat aids tak nak buat... tp tajuk sendiri tu taknak pulak prepare elok2...

Pastu mule ar time nak start bincang tu semua tak tau nak mule dari mana... ntuh hape-hape~

Pastu masa berbincang nampak macam masing2 tak berminat nak bincang lame-lame... semua mcm nak balik je... huarghhhh...


Tp paling aku bengang nye... diorang mcm nak buat perjumpaan kedua minggu depan, pastu aku cakap la kita kena present something khamis ne... diorang pon angguk-angguk je.. tp pastu masih nak buat meeting minggu depan.... aku macam... dlm otak aku... Khamis ne kita kena bentang weyh!!!!!!! tp aku diam je... tgk masing2 cam hebat je bg pendapat masing2 pasal bile nak buat perjumpaan kedua...


Pastu da lama sikit... tiba2 ade orang lain ckp.. eh, kita kena bentang ari khamis ne... pastu diorang baru la sedar... pastu mule ar cr masa nak wat perjumpaan kedua minggu ne pulak... heish, aku da ckp td sume wat bodo je... bosan tul aku... lepas tu aku terus senyap je malas da nak cakap aku nak observe je tgk perangai masing2...


Heish, lepas habis perjumpaan tu seyes aku tension giler terus aku bekejar bukak wireless nak tulis kat blog ne!!!! ArghhH!!!!


So drpada perjumpaan pertama ne... seyes aku cakap ne la perbincangan kumpulan paling tak bermakna pernah aku hadir...!! Tak terurus langsung... diorang ne tak pergi Taylor's College ke belajar camane nak uruskan perbincangan kumpulan? haha..


Takpela, mungkin salah aku gak sbb tak semangat melawan balik mule2 semasa ahli kumpulan sorang tu tolak idea aku... aku ingat die da sedia elok pasal TB.. yer la tajuk macam best je kan.. igtkan da mantap da idea... padahal... humph... ske ati mung ar!!!

Mintak2 la selepas ne kumpulan ne akan lebih terurus dan mantap... humph...

Oh ya, dlm group ne bole kata semua org tempatan... so... persepsi aku terhadap orang australia da merosot... rupe-rupenye org malaysia lg bagus dr diorang dalam aspek ini... haha.. Malaysia boleH!!!

So.. TB pon TB lah.... layan je la...

Look at those eyes... love it!! It's a GaGaK's eyes!!!

There's really a bunch of them at UNSW, even saw two today.. finding food in the grass in front of the library lawn... they're cool~

But the irony is the name... singing crow... bcoz since the first time I saw this bird, not once has it speak.. or make any noise.. it's really quiet... hopefully one day I can hear this GaGaK sing... the singing Gagak... yeah...

MYSTERY SOLVED!!!

Okay.. there's this bird that really caught my attention the first time I saw it...

The anatomy (ceh..) of this bird is very similiar of Malaysian's GaGaK, the beak is the same size, the wings too and the leg is the same...



But... the problem is it has white stripes.... Which is kinda' cool... but is it GaGaK? GaGaK suppose to be all black... well some with a little bit brown-ish colour... but white?? it raises a lotta question...




Nevetheless ... I think it is.... It's GaGaK!!! A whole new colour!!



So for now this is officially Australian's GaGaK!! Can be found very commonly in UNSW.. yey!! GaGaK is everywhere!!

Sesat + Jumaah' + Bola + One Piece

Assalammualaikum to all...

Yeah yeah a lotta people been commenting or should I say menganjing kitorang bcoz we got lost at sydney... haha

So here's the much awaited full report on what happened!!

• 5.00pm: The highly spirited Riman and Fazrul got on the bus to Eastgarden Shopping Complex (it's called Westside I think.. ) to buy ingredients to cook.
  
• 5.20pm: Arrived there... bought a lot of stuff like crazy~ very heavy to carry
• 6.30pm: Left Eastgarden... met a malaysian girl from petronas doing postgrad named Amy... saw the Bus 400 (Which is the bus that pass through UNSW like a lot of times!!) and we got on the bus (togather with Amy).
  
• 7.00pm: The bus choose a strange route... we arrived at the airport... takpe yakin yakin... because bus 400 always pass by the University.
• 8.00pm: The bus arrived like a very small town far from the city... okay... this is getting strange... like.. where are we?? We asked the bus driver... is this bus going back to Kensington or Anzac Parade? No, mate!! ... damn... we're like already very far from the city... the bus dropped us off and told us to wait for another bus at the opposite road... We're now like completely alone at like this small town at the city's outskirt (with a sort of country music playing with a wind blowing...) called Burkwood... it's near Liverpool i guess
  
• 8.05pm: Arrived at the bus stop... luckily I just bought the UNSW sweater that morning, cos it's like very Very the VERY COLD!!! I feel like a homeless person u know?? A homeless person on the street warming up near a fire by some backstreet... now I know how they felt... :(

• So... can u feel the homelessness in the pic's... at a very windy night.. cold... no fire... no one around... except Fazrul and Amy... sigh... I'll never look down on homeless people again...
• 8.15pm: A BUS!!!! ............................................................ out of service????? What??????
  
• 8.30pm: We decided to just take a cab home since it looks like no bus is coming... the fare costs $40... we share it with the three of us... luckily that uncle was very nice and do not overcharge us.. but seriously the fare metre on the taxi goes up very fast, taxi is Sydney is very expansive...
• 10.00pm: Arrived at CAPELLA... Alhamdulillah.... so that's our journey for today, from a simple shopping trip to this... money = gone!!

Lesson learned: Be nice to homeless people... :)

But now I'm gonna write about a very nice experience!!! with some dissapointment...

Today is Friday so we muslims have solat jumaah'.. I've been waiting for this day to see the faces of muslim in UNSW and hear the sermon here... I'm all pumped up~!! We pray at the "surau" in UNSW...

I arrived quite late, the sermon has already started... it's in English by Mahmoud Jamee'... the way he gives it is very different than in Malaysia, he just stand in front of the people, not holding any "tongkat" and just talk and interacting with the brothers without any script, it's very nice and not sleepy (unlike in Malaysia... it's very sleepy... because the Khatib read from scripts), the dua' after khutbah was very short and simple... all in all, I like the Khutbah here~ Alhamdulillah

Then, we have like this awesome meeting where all the muslim brothers just hang around outside the surau talking to each other.. its very nice... Hopefully soon I can get to know other international muslim brother~

but... sadly... we get this article its like saying there's a dispute within the ISOC (Islamic Society on Campus)... I'm seriously dissapointed reading that... hopefully soon the problem will be solved and all the muslim community can unite and get along togather... Insha'Allah...

Then I get to know my first international muslim brother in UNSW, brother Yusuf from Burma.. :).. He seems like a very good brother concerned about the well-being of muslims in UNSW... good good!!

I also get a very long-awaited invitation since I arrived at Sydney ... which is..

MARI MAIN BOLA PETANG NI or LET's PLAY FOOTBALL!!!!!

The field is not that far from my house, it's just a 5 minute full-speed jogging there... it's called Kensington Park... a very nice one!! A lot of dogs!! haha...

First there's like only 5 other Malaysian there... then more arrived.. and more... and finally there's 26 Malaysian there... waaa..... I felt like crying man... it's barely even a week at Sydney but I really miss this feeling of playing football togather with Malaysian~ it's very nostalgic, very calm, very nice... u feel like home~ the ukhuwah between the Malaysian there is THUMBS UP!!! wait.. TWO THUMBS UP!! (Wish I had more thumbs)

There's like this portable goal that we set up there and we playetd for about 90 minutes... this is by far the best experience yet in Sydney... it's sports man!! This is what man is supposed to do!!
Plus, my team won by merely 1-0.. but we still one.. and I assisted in the goal by doing "dummy" in front of the opponent goal ( padahal tak jadi wat skill, cover cover... tapi orang byk cakap lawa dummy... haha.. layan jek )


And finally tonight... a very sad news!!!

THERE'S NO ONE PIECE THIS WEEK???????????????????????????????

Oh yah...
There's like 250++ medical students in UNSW... and so far I only saw six muslims ... 4 from Malaysia and there's this 2 girl wearing hijjab there, probably arab or local australian... takdak gadis melayu medic... ain ar nie takmo join~ cis cis~

Oh yeah, I got Prince of Wales Hosp for my placement which is the best!! cos' it's very close.. Fazrul got St. George which is very far... haha~


That's all... hope u enjoyed menganjing us... but beware... it might be u next time lost in Sydney..

1st destination in Sydney?? Opera House!!!

Assalammualaikum..

Feeling great today yeah!! Alhamdulillah...

Went to my first trip to the city of Sydney and to the OPERA HOUSE!! and the surroundings!! Great man!!!

Sydney is a very modern city but still has a natural vibe around it.. nice!! The wind is powerful!! My hair-gel is gone like only in 5 minutes exposing myself to the wind.... haha.. need to find a more powerful hair-gel...

First we went to the PYTON TOWER to see the view of Sydney from the sky!! Nice man... it costs 10dollars just to climb there but its worth it!! The wind and view there is SUPERB!!

2nd.. we walked around the SYDNEY HARBOR.. there's a beautiful sort of park here, few street artist making performances, a big cruise ship docked there, a lot of seagulls and ships!!

3rd.. finally went to OPERA HOUSE... sugoiii~ very nice... (but not as nice as in the promotional picture..) it's like very big... wow~

4th... went to rest and pray at the BOTANICAL GARDEN (this is the first time I prayed outdoor on a grass.. haha).. I tell you~!!! This park is like the best place to do recreational activities!!! It's windy, cold and has a great view!! You just feel so free up there in a green looking at the sea with the beautiful buildings~ it's great!!

5th... waited until dark to get the NIGHTVIEW of OPERA HOUSE... the nightvilew is great too, but our cameras seems to lost it's abilities in the dark...

Yeah... the first trip to city was certainly worth it... we had problems finding halal food and place to perform solat.. Solution? We bought milk and Oreo from the convienient store.. (There's actually a halal logo from Indonesia on the Oreo.. hoho) and we took our ablution at the public toilet and solat at Botanical Garden... Asr and Maghrib... my first experience... :)
